Behind the scenes as ESPN covers Derek Jeter Night

Sunday from Yankee Stadium, ESPN provided extensive coverage of Derek Jeter Night as the New York Yankees retired the No. 2 jersey of the former star shortstop.

The gallery above captures some behind-the-scenes moments from ESPN’s coverage, including visits made by Jeter and former Yankees manager Joe Torre to the Sunday Night Baseball booth crew of Dan Shulman, Jessica Mendoza and Aaron Boone. The Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown crew of Karl Ravech, former Yankee Mark Teixeira and Tim Kurkjian provided field level coverage before the ceremonies and featured game between the Yankees and Houston Astros.
