Cynopsis honors SportsCenter’s “My Wish” series

Valerie Gordon accepts the Cynopsis Media Social Good Award on behalf of ESPN. ESPN's "My Wish" series won in the category of "Branded Campaign for a TV Series" at the recent Cynopsis Social Good Awards. The "My Wish" series chronicles sports-themed wishes granted to children with life-threatening medical conditions. 2015 marked the 10th year of ESPNâ€™s collaboration with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, with 55 wishes fulfilled over the course of the series. ESPN chronicled these efforts and the work of Make-A-Wish through its networks, ESPN.com and social media platforms. Sponsored by Cynopsis Media, the awards hail examples of "social good in the TV and entertainment industry. . .honoring everything from sustainability partnerships and PSAs [Public Service Announcements], to diversity campaigns, environmental initiatives and more." â€œThis is what makes a good company great,â€ ESPN Vice President, Corporate Citizenship, Kevin Martinez said. "To play a part in making wishes come true for these deserving kids and to be recognized in the industry for our partnership with Make a Wish is truly rewarding. We look forward to the return of the series this summer - we recently produced a wish with [Golden State Warriors star] Stephen Curry - and to celebrating our 10th anniversary of 'My Wish.'"
