Palmer adds to analyst role with GMA assignment

Jesse Palmer has been contributing to ESPNâ€™s College Football coverage as an analyst since 2007. He has called the ESPN College Football Primetime Thursday game since 2008, sharing a booth with Rece Davis and David Pollack the last three years. This morning on ABC, former ESPN SportsCenter anchor Robin Roberts officially welcomed college football analyst Jesse Palmer to the Good Morning America team. Jesse, who has become a familiar face at GMA and across ABC News, is officially joining GMA as a Special Contributor. In this new role, he will focus on big stories for the show's second hour as well as news of day and signature big live events throughout the show. He will continue his role on ESPN and SEC Network as lead college football game analyst, lending his insight and opinion throughout the season on ESPN's numerous programs. Jesse has been a fixture in the networkâ€™s extensive coverage of college football since 2007 and a frequent contributor across ABC shows. This past football season, the former Florida quarterback became the lead game analyst on the SEC Networkâ€™s football coverage alongside legendary sportscaster Brent Musburger. Jesse has worked on some of ESPN's biggest events, including a major role for ESPN and ABCâ€™s coverage of the first College Football Playoff. Jesse is no stranger to ABCâ€™s starting lineup, having previously had a prominent role in studio every Saturday during college football season. Heâ€™s also been a guest on the broadcast channelâ€™s biggest shows, including co-hosting on Kelly Ripaâ€™s Live! With Kelly and ABCâ€™s The View. Also, the man is quite a foodie and has appeared on ABCâ€™s The Chew on more than one occasion. He will continue his role as special contributor to ABC News, as an ESPN expert. ESPN and SEC Network wish Jesse continued success on his expanded role with the Disney family as he becomes a weekly fixture at Good Morning America.
